Baby Tie Pacifier Holder Part 1
I decided to try to make my own Baby Tie, and being the woman I am I also decided to make it a pacifier clip. I searched the internet and Pinterest for instructions and even downloaded a pattern. (I did not like the pattern and it did not work out.) So I decided to make my own pattern. The beauty of this pattern is that you can make it as long or short, thick or thin as you want. Here is how I did it.
Paper: I use a large art pad and cut a section from a page. You can use wrapping paper, butcher paper, taped together pieces of copy paper.
Scissors: for paper not your fabric scissors
ink pen or marker
Fold the paper in half. This is a great guide for the center line.
Draw a line the length of the tie + seam allowance down the center fold. Mine measured 16″ because I am attaching the tie to a clip and to an elastic neck band. You will have to add the width of the neck to the measurement for a regular tie length.
I drew a 2.25″ line for the smallest width of the tie.
I drew a 6″ line for the bottom width of the tie.
Connect the dots for the sides. Cut out the pattern.
Fold the top and bottom corners to meet at the center line and cut on the folds.
The pattern is ready.
Friday is the Second part of the tutorial making the tie Pacifier holder.
