My favorite thing about Christmas is the special time I get to spend with The Kiddo. We make Hot Cocoa and curl up and watch “Polar Express” together. When she was little, she would sit in my lap and we would pretend that we were on the Polar Express too. I miss those days. (insert wistful mommy sigh) I know that I only have a few more Holidays like this before she is grown up and I plan to hold on for as long as I can.

My nieces love hair bows and pony tail holders. They also lose them faster than we can find them. If you have kids in you life like that, this tutorial is for you. It is a perfect stocking stuffer and they will think it is super fun. I can not wait to see my youngest niece open her gift and see this super awesome Lollipop.

One of my Favorite flavors of the Holiday Season is Peppermint. Peppermint in Coffee, Cookies, Candy canes, it’s everywhere.
Check out the YouTube video below.
My favorite Peppermint treat is Peppermint Bark. You can make it so many ways with so many different combinations of ingredients. This is my recipe using Almond bark instead of chocolate chips. I like almond bark because of the smooth consistency and ease of melting. You can use your favorite chocolate if you want. If the Almond bark or Chocolate are not smooth when melting add 1 tsp of vegetable oil to smooth it out.
This ia a gift ideas that is right up my alley. The Holidays are a great time for DIY gifting. No need for the Mall the craft store will do. In the case of these adorable and glitzy candle holders I got the supplies from the Dollar Store.

This is one of my favorite Holiday Goodies. There is not much better than a warm cup of cocoa or coffee on a cold winter evening. Unless you have one of these yummy chocolate dipped Peppermint sticks to stir your drink. The spoons are a fantastic start to a cocoa bar for a party or as an addition to a teachers gift.
The fun of this DIY is that you can use any Chocolate you want. You can use any topping or no topping at all. I tried to cover a few options for you in this recipe. You can dip spoons, peppermint sticks, candy canes or use small cups and Popsicle sticks.
Make sure to cover the work area with parchment paper. The parchment keeps the chocolate from sticking to anything other than the spoon etc. Continue reading →
