Natural Air Freshener and Deodorizer Home Hack from H&P ArtistryNatural Air Freshener and Deodorizer

It’s time for a good old-fashioned Home Hack. I like to make Homemade products when I can because it is safer for the environment and lighter on my wallet. This Natural Air Freshener and Deodorizer recipe is both. The key to making these items at home is to know what to expect from the final product. Most store-bought products have artificial colors and fragrances that are enhanced to last longer and smell stronger. Natural air fresheners have a very light scent and because of the backing soda absorb more scent than they release. This mixture is best placed in bathrooms, closets, or any area that tends to smell musty, closed up, or damp.

Recipe

Baking soda absorbs and helps to eliminate unwanted odors. It is a good idea to place an open box of baking soda in the refrigerator to absorb food odors. Do Not Use The refrigerator baking soda for cooking once stored in the refrigerator.

Step 7

Replace the lid and place in the chosen room to freshen the air. You may need to add essential oil occasionally to boos the scent. You will also need to replace the sealing lid and shake the mixture every week or so to keep the baking soda from clumping up.

Replace the mixture every 30 days to 3 months depending on the moisture in the room being deodorized.

Make Your Own Wine Glass Charms

Make Your Own Wine Glass Charms

I love the tiny details that make a party fun. The little things that make a big difference. Wine glass charms are one of those little things. They are a simple way to keep track of your drink at a get together. They are especially fun on a girls night and your girlfriends can take their charm home as a little gift. You can even have a Make Your Own Wine Glass Charms station at the party. I really like this craft because it is a great way to use up any left over beads you may have lying around. It is also a great way to reuse old jewelry. The earrings that you can’t find matches for make great charms. Continue reading
