How to Make 3D Paper Stars
How to Make 3D Paper Stars is a simple but fun project you can do alone or make with the kids. If making the stars with children remember to supervise them with scissors or cut the stars out ahead of time. These 3D Stars make great Party decorations to hang from a ceiling or as a back drop for pictures. I made these for my Grandmother as a table decoration.

Template for stars
Start by drawing a star. I used a template with three sizes. The template helps to get pairs of stars in the same sizes. (The same template I used for the Stars and Stripes Door Hanger)
Draw line connecting the indent point of the star to the opposite point of the star.
Do this for every point and indent.
Carefully cut out the stars.
Fold the stars along the lines.
Manipulate the stars folds to create the 3D Star effect.
Step 5 – Double sided Star
To make Double sided 3D Stars use clear tape to connect the sides.
Match up the edges of two stars and tape them in place. Work around all sides of the star. This can get a little tricky and you may have to flatten the stars out and layer them wrong sides together. Tape all of the sides and then carefully reform the star.
Or leave the star folded and carefully line up one edge and tape it. Then line up an edge on the opposite side and tape it. This helps the star to keep its shape as you tape.
You will find the way that suits you best.
When making the Stars with kids it is a good idea to leave a small tab on each edge for the kids to use to tape the sides together.
