How to Make Paper Flower Arrangements
This is part two if the Paper flower tutorial – How to Make Paper Flower Arrangements. You can see Part 1 How to Make Paper Flowers by clicking here. You can make this arrangement into a Bridal Bouquet by cutting the foam ball in half and gluing it on to a hand held bouquet base.
Foam ball – Cut away the base and paint to camouflage the foam
Paper flowers in many sizes to cover the foam ball
base – vase, milk bottle, or bouquet base
chop stick or dowel
hot glue gun and glue sticks
Insert a dowel or chop stick in the center of the flat side of the foam ball. The dowel will hold the arrangement in place.
Glue the spiral to the base.
Hold it in place a few seconds to make sure the spiral is secured to the base.
Glue the flowers in place Start with the largest flowers and work to the smallest.
Continue gluing the flowers in place. Try to keep them as symmetrical as possible. I glued the largest flowers first starting in the center and then on all four sides. The filled in the centers of the open spaces. Continue working from large to small flowers filling in the centers of the empty spaces.
Fill in as much of the space as possible. I added tiny ribbon roses as filler in the spaces that were to small for the paper flowers.
Wrap the base of the arrangement with tissue paper to cover the dowel and the underside of the foam ball.
Add the arrangement to the vase or in my case milk bottle. This is a great way to reuse any of the iced coffee Starbucks bottles. Add extra tissue paper or beads for filler in the base.
