Use your template and trace out your circles. You may want cut out different sizes of circles to have different size flowers.
Cut out your circles. It is a good Idea to use an assembly line method to making the flowers.
Cut a spiral into each circle.
I used different size decorative scissors to have different petal designs.
Some times it is easier to form the flowers if you cut the decorative cuts away from the inside row of the spiral.
Use the pointed end of the skewer and roll the spiral around itself. It is up to you to decide if you want the design on the inside or outside of the flower.
When you get to the center of the spiral fold the base pattern up.
Remove the flower from the skewer and insert the point of the skewer into the base and reposition the flower. You can leave the flower like this or glue the base to the spiraled flower. If you want to make long-stemmed flowers use floral wire stems and hot glue the flowers in place.
