Today’s Mouthwatering Monday Recipe is a Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie Recipe. I have been making my Fall soaps (they smell delicious) so I have really been craving fall foods and a chocolate chip pecan pie is one of my favorites. Not only is the pie super yummy it smells like fall, family gatherings, and is a staple comfort food. I hope you guys like it. You can make it a caramel pecan pie by substituting the chocolate chips with caramel chips.

Recipe:

1 Pie Crust

3 eggs

1 cup Sugar

1 cup Corn Syrup

2 tbsp Melted Butter

2 tsp Vanilla

1 1/2 cups Pecans Chopped

1 cup Chocolate Chips

Pre-heat oven to 350*
Oven temperatures and times may vary

Prepare your pie crust. If using a frozen crust, let it defrost before using.

Mix the base batter of eggs, sugar, corn syrup, butter, and vanilla with a whisk. Mix it very well.

Mix or fold in the pecans and chocolate chips. Fold them in to the pie batter very well. Make sure to distribute the chocolate chips through out the mix.

Pour the batter into pie shell.

Bake for 60 to 70 minutes. The pie is set when it is no longer liquid in the center. lightly shake the side of the pie and if the center jiggles slightly, but is stable, the pie is ready. The pie will continue to set up as it cools.

Cut and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
