Peppermint Wishes Bark
One of my Favorite flavors of the Holiday Season is Peppermint. Peppermint in Coffee, Cookies, Candy canes, it’s everywhere.
Check out the YouTube video below.
My favorite Peppermint treat is Peppermint Bark. You can make it so many ways with so many different combinations of ingredients. This is my recipe using Almond bark instead of chocolate chips. I like almond bark because of the smooth consistency and ease of melting. You can use your favorite chocolate if you want. If the Almond bark or Chocolate are not smooth when melting add 1 tsp of vegetable oil to smooth it out.
Almond bark – chocolate and vanilla flavors
Candy Canes – Be sure to remove all the cellophane wrapping
Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Chop up the Almond Bark.
Melt and spread a thin layer of chocolate evenly on the parchment paper.
Refrigerate for 15 to 30 minutes
Unwrap the Peppermints or Candy Canes
Crush your peppermints by using a food processor or Putting the candy canes in a gallon bag and crushing them with a rolling-pin. A food processor has a more powdery consistency and the rolling-pin has a chunkier texture.
Melt White Chocolate (Almond bark) and add the peppermint extract to taste. (A little goes a long way)
Spread it evenly and quickly over the chilled and solid Milk Chocolate.
Sprinkle the crushed candy canes over the white chocolate (Almond Bark)
Let chill for 15 to 30 minutes then break into pieces.
You can always use one of my holiday printable cards or labels.
