I love this recipe because you do not have to bake anything. Keep a pound cake, whipped topping and berries in the freezer and you will always have a dessert. A really yummy dessert!

I used store-bought whipped topping and let is thaw out a bit and stirred it until smooth.

Slice the cake as many times as you like. I cut 4 layers.

Now begin layering the cake starting with the bottom layer of cake. If you think the cake may slide on the tray you can add a dollop of whipped topping to the plate and layer the cake over it.

Layer whipped topping then berries. Add Just a little whipped topping above the berries to help the cake stay in place.

Continue layering the cake in the same way.

If you do not like the cake having a domed shape then add more berries to the ends of the layers. You will also need to trim the top of the pound cake.

Cover the top with the whipped topping and allow it to drip over the sides. Top with the remaining berries to decorate. You can add any flavors that you like. Chocolate shavings would be lovely and a caramel drizzle would add a deep rich flavor.

Refrigerate or freeze before cutting to allow the whipped topping to set up again and not slide off of the cake. If freezing you will need to let the berries thaw completely before serving.
