S’mores on a Stick
S’mores on a Stick from H&P Artistry
I had a house full of kids this weekend. The Kiddo had an all weekend sleepover and I had my “soon to be 6 year old” niece spend the night to celebrate her birthday. My top two questions when having a bunch of kids over are:
what am I going to feed them and how am I going to keep them busy?
This recipe covers both. It also works for all ages because the little ones like to help and the older ones feel accomplished once the treat is finished. One of the kids took a pic and sent it to her “peeps” to show them what she made. My biggest advice when making the S’mores on a Stick is to not over coat the marshmallows in chocolate, set up an assembly line, and let the kids have fun. If they get a little messy you can always use my homemade cleaning wipes to clean up the mess.
Tape wax paper to counter.
Break pretzel sticks in half
Crush the Graham crackers into a fine grain. I used a small food processor.
Press the pretzel stick into the center of the marshmallow.
Mix the chocolate chips and oil and melt over low heat. The oil helps to keep a smooth consistency.
Dip the Marshmallow into the chocolate. Do not over coat the marshmallow with the chocolate or the chocolate will fall off into the graham cracker crumbs. Roll the marshmallow along the sides of the pan to remove the excess chocolate.
Roll the chocolate covered marshmallow in the graham crackers to coat. You can also sprinkle the graham crumbles over the chocolate if needed.
Set the S’mores on a Stick on the wax paper to set up.
If you have chocolate left over use it to drizzle over the S’mores on a Stick for an added detail.
