Fourth of July Mini Bunting Tutorial from H&P Artistry

Fourth of July Mini Bunting Tutorial

Fourth of July Mini Bunting Tutorial

Have I ever mentioned that I love Pinterest. I get lots of ideas and inspiration from wasting massive amounts of time conscientiously scrolling through the delightful pins on Pinterest. Honestly this is how I find trends. One of the big trends for home and party decor is Bunting/Banners. Triangles of fabric chained together with ribbon, bias tape etc. Most of what I found was large 7″ to 9″ triangles. Some are stitched on two sides (right sides together) and then turned and ironed flat before chaining together. Others are stitch right sides out and trimmed with pinking shears. I decided I wanted a smaller bunting for the table decoration at the 4th of July Party and that is how the Fourth of July Mini Bunting Tutorial began. I hope you like it and let me know what you think. Continue reading

I love the convenience of cleaning wipes but they can be really expensive. If you worry about the ingredients in cleansers they can also be chemical mine fields. My biggest advice when finding natural or homemade cleaners is to do your research. You do not want to mix cleansers even natural ones if you do not know the chemical reaction they have when mixed. Also not all natural cleaners are antibacterial or kill germs. Bleach and water is still the best cleanser out there for disinfecting a surface. Vinegar is great for cleaning and breaking down stains but it does not kill all germs. If you want to check call your local environmental agency or health department.

I am sharing a light cleanser and a heavy cleanser the difference is the addition of Alcohol in the heavy cleanser to help kill germs. Continue reading
